Job Description: Bilingual public accountant with experience in managing payroll under US legislation, with expertise in US labor, tax, and social security laws.
Extensive ability to work with US-based companies, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting and payroll processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in all operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll payments in the United States, overseeing budgeting and financial monitoring, and efficiently handling the SIIGO/QuickBooks accounting software.
This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial operations.
Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of U.S. tax and labor legislation, including payroll processing, federal and state tax withholdings, and employee classification.Experience preparing and processing payroll for employees located in the U.S., including managing deductions, benefits, insurance, and related matters.Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks for generating financial reports, account reconciliation, payroll management, and tax reporting.Ability to work in multicultural, high-pressure environments, with a strong focus on results and meeting deadlines.Fluent communication in both English and Spanish, written and spoken, for effective interaction with clients, suppliers, and international teams.Required Profile: Professional in Public Accounting, minimum 5 years of experience.Previous experience in accounting areas, preferably in budget management and accounting software management.Main Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Payments Management: Process payments to suppliers and contractors in the U.S.
Manage electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers, checks).
Verify invoices and authorize payments according to internal procedures.Tax Withholding and Compliance: Apply and manage tax withholdings according to IRS regulations.
Handle tax forms such as W-9, W-8BEN, and 1099 for contractors and vendors.
Ensure accurate payment of payroll and vendor taxes.Bank and Accounting Reconciliations: Perform periodic bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Identify and correct discrepancies in financial statements.Accounting Software Management: Record and manage transactions in QuickBooks, SIIGO, and other ERP systems.
Generate financial reports on payments and cash flow.Vendor and Banking Relations: Coordinate payments and negotiations with suppliers.
Manage bank accounts and optimize transaction costs.Regulatory Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting and tax regulations.
Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.Payroll and Benefits Management: Process payroll and employee benefits payments in the U.S.
Calculate and report payroll taxes (FICA, FUTA, SUTA).Technical Competencies: Accounting and Tax Knowledge in the U.S.: Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and withholding requirements for U.S. payments.Accounting Software Management: Experience with QuickBooks, SIIGO, NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms.International Payment Processing: Knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, check payments, and payment platforms.Bank and Accounting Reconciliations: Ability to perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.Tax Withholdings and Forms Management: Experience handling W-9, W-8BEN, 1099 forms, and IRS compliance.Financial Analysis and Reporting: Ability to generate financial reports and cash flow statements.Regulatory Compliance and Auditing: Knowledge of accounting regulations and preparation for internal and external audits.Preferred or Added Value: Experience in accounting for U.S. companies.Knowledge of tax compliance and international audits.Experience in automating accounting processes.* English is absolutely necessary for this role; if you do not have B2 level of English, please do not apply.
