What this job involves
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of EHS Specialist to join our team:
**Location**: Bogotá, Colombia.

**Work schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 17:00 pm.

**Work model**: On site.

**Contract Type**: Indefinite-term.

What is your day to day?
Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to workplace health and safety.
Identify and assess occupational hazards and propose control and prevention measures.
Conduct investigations of workplace incidents and accidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate employee training and development programs on safety, occupational health, and environmental protection.
Perform internal audits to assess compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments to implement continuous improvement measures for safety and environmental practices.
Stay up-to-date with relevant local and national regulations and laws pertaining to workplace health and safety.
Prepare regular reports on health and safety performance and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with external suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Promote a safety culture among employees and advocate for best practices in accident and occupational illness prevention.

**Required**:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
Previous experience in EHS roles or similar positions in the field of safety and environment.
In-depth knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Analytical skills to identify and evaluate occupational hazards.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Understanding of risk management tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
Safety and environmental certifications (desired).
