Software Application Packager

As a Software Application Packager, you will participate in the design, delivery, automation, and support of infrastructure services and solutions. Interface with vendors, as well as other Technology and Operations teams to provide seamless and reliable computing experience to end users. Manage request queue for new software, break/fix, and general software questions. Collaborate with other technology teams to vet and qualify requests for new software. Provide general software support to technical teams where needed.
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, Durham, North Carolina, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and document software packages
- Work on resolution of system and client issues
- Learn and follow recommended IT standards as well as operational best practices.
- Assist in testing and evaluating new and existing solutions and capabilities.
- Utilize technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to deliver mature monitoring, improved resiliency, and high availability.
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Experience managing endpoints using latest version of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Experience troubleshooting/managing Windows 10 and Microsoft's upgrade cycle
- Experience managing/configuring Microsoft Office
- Experience troubleshooting and configuring workstation hardware
- OSD (Microsoft Operating System Deployment)
- PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit/ Bash scripting
- InstallShield & AdminStudio
- Windows installer files (including the use of Public & Private properties and switches)
- Windows registry
- WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation)
- ServiceNow platform; Catalog Requests, Incidents, Reporting, Software Asset Management Professional
Preferred:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
- Experience troubleshooting and configuring Dell & Microsoft workstations specifically
- Experience managing/configuring Office 365/Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
- Experience managing and configuring M365 solutions
- Experience with Office 365/Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
