In the Andean Cluster, we have a great opportunity within the Business Excellence area in Bogotá, Colombia, for the role of Business Excellence Director. This position is responsible for supporting the effective development and execution of the business strategy by identifying, prioritizing, and monitoring key success factors to address the evolving needs of patients and fulfill the strategy and short
- and long-term objectives of the Cluster.
The primary goal of the business Excellence Director is to oversee and direct the teams, platforms, tools, and processes that drive commercial and business excellence by designing, planning, and implementing projects and initiatives to maximize top and bottom line results in Launch Excellence, Business Intelligence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Training, Meetings and Events, and Patient Support Programs. The role also tracks the performance of commercial operations and fosters a Data and Digital-first culture, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations and managing budgets.
**Responsibilities**:
- Defines the short and long term Strategy and development roadmap and goals of each Business Excellence area. Responsible to make sure that each tactic is encompassed in a relevant strategy umbrella and platform/ecosystem.
- Set-up and implementation of multi-channel strategy based on customer insights and market trends in alignment with the TAs strategy and company objectives.
- Fosters a data culture to lead the analytics agenda across every area in the Cluster. Responsible for creating high awareness across the cluster related to digital, learning/launch, commercial and analytics projects.
- Leads and participates in the design and execution of next generation engagement and go-to-market models for the Cluster.
- Manages and strives to create a high performance and agile team that constantly challenges the status quo to achieve excellence in business processes and results, whilst putting both the internal and external customer first. People Management to coach members to success and assure that everyone works comfortably to deliver at their best.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the sales team and other relevant stakeholders to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Looks for new innovative partners and beyond-the-molecule solutions for external Stakeholders, to join AstraZeneca’s mission to improve patient outcomes inside digital platforms.
- Assures that projects are compliant with ethics standards, SOPs and relevant local/international laws, especially considering Data Privacy, Commercial & Promotional Boundaries and Risk Management aspects.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of meetings and events, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Drive excellence in product launches by developing and implementing launch strategies, tracking performance metrics, and providing post-launch analysis and recommendations.
- Develop and manage patient support programs to ensure seamless access to pharmaceutical products and services, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
**Essential Skills/Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related.
- 10 years of experience in managing teams in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in Launches.
- Desire to innovate and face high levels of uncertainty with resilience, whilst challenging the status quo.
- Negotiation & influencing skills.
- Experience in Franchise, Marketing and Sales Management in Pharma environment.
- Knowledge of CRM platforms and associated tools and processes, referred to the crafting of cycle plans but also to providing insights to Field teams and inclusion of Omnichannel capabilities.
- Experience in an innovative, cross functional business climate, preferably having a strong SFE background, with a strong career track and sufficient potential to grow.
- Ability to communicate and influence across different levels of the organization, from senior leadership to functional roles at market and above-market level.
- Business analytical mindset: ability to understand and shape rigorous data analyses while keeping a concise narrative that drives action in simple manner.
**Desirable**:
- Master’s degree in business, Data Science, Medical or related.
- Entrepreneurial experience related to Tech & Pharma / Healthtech.
- Deep Oncology, Rare Diseases, R&I and CVRM knowledge and experience.
