**About Remote**:
**All of our positions are fully remote. You do not have to relocate to join us**

**What this job can offer you**:

- Assistance in the tax team when filing and paying the withholding taxes and social contributions.
- To be in contact with the Social Security to solve any doubts that may exist when filing the social contributions.
- Responsible for a smooth communication flow with the payroll team so that both teams are aligned during the tax and social security filing and payment process.
- Lead the electronic mailboxes with the social security and tax offices for Portugal and Spain.
- Preparation of supporting work papers and tax position papers (mainly personal income tax and social security).
- Drive process improvements e.g. build documentation resources to address recurring and potential business partner/customer questions around personal income taxation.
- Support the International Tax Analysts and Managers during tax audits / tax inquiries.
- Supporting/managing tax special projects, as assigned.

**What you bring**:

- Business Administration related studies.
- Experience required of 1/2 years practice or industry, mainly focused in payroll tax.
- Knowledge of payroll software and how to deal with Tax and Social Security Authorities.
- Writes and speaks fluent English. Additional languages, Portuguese and/or Spanish, are a must.
- It's not required to have experience working remotely nor Big 4 background but considered a plus as well
- Tax experience in multiple countries, Portugal or Spain will be a plus
- Qualification in Accounting or Tax a plus.
- Having familiarity with start-ups / Fin-tech industry is advantageous too
