- We are looking for a west coast based Senior Solution Design Manager to join our Client Solutions Group team within our Sales division. Your job will be to be responsible for collaborating across the Sales and Customer Success organizations to develop and guide the business development strategy for athena. The Senior Manager will be responsible for; the qualitative and quantitative review, and sign-off of presentations, ROI, workflow analysis, as well as proposals for direct reports.

In addition, the Senior Manager will manage a set of clients or prospects individually. In this capacity, you will lead demonstrations and definition of new product requirements around; a client’s business strategy, patient access operations, information management strategy, patient engagement strategy and care coordination. You will drive the development and positioning of presentations and proposals highlighting athenahealth’s unique product capabilities. You will track progress through implementation and go-live to ensure realization of product design and ROI expectations. The Senior Manager must be a strong leader for a growing team and a central strategic voice to help shape athena’s messaging internally and externally. This position requires at least 50% travel.

The Team: The Client Solutions Group team is a multidisciplinary team who accelerates opportunities through the active pipeline by delivering a world class value-based story to the market that grows the network.

Job Responsibilities- Collaboratively support the sales cycle of athenahealth’s most strategic and complex clients, directly engaging with prospects-
- Define strategies to adapt athenahealth workflows and services to unique needs and achieve organizational alignment to deliver that product direction-
- Prepare and present athenahealth solutions to prospects and customers highlighting unique athenahealth capabilities; including the ability to demonstrate athena's product suite-
- Lead the transition from Sales to Onboarding and Customer Success internally-
- Lead the development of professional proposals for prospects and clients-
- Develop market intelligence of industry drivers to assist in strategically positioning sales opportunities and increasing the depth of knowledge that is available to the Sales and Customer Success team, with a focus on aligning athenahealth’s services to current key industry trendsTypical Qualifications
- BS/BA required. Advanced degree preferred
- This position will be located in either the Mountain or Pacific Time Zone
- Significant success in high level consultative sales
- Strong history of developing C-level network and relationships
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills; including formal presentation, business writing and negotiation.
- Strong aptitude for business economics and technology-enabled processes
