**Responsibilities**:

- **Manage billing and coding operations**: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing and coding department, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
- **Ensure compliance with regulations**: Stay up-to-date with local and international healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding standards to ensure compliance in all billing and coding activities.
- **Team supervision**: Lead and manage a team of billing and coding specialists, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards are maintained.
- **Optimize billing processes**: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the billing process, reduce errors, and improve the collection of payments.
- **Audit and review**: Regularly audit billing and coding activities to identify errors, ensure accuracy, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- **Coordinate with other departments**: Work closely with medical, administrative, and financial departments to resolve billing issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
- **Reporting and analysis**: Prepare regular reports on billing activities, revenue cycle performance, and key metrics to management, identifying areas for improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and other medical coding standards.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and insurance policies in Colombia.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
