- What you will be doing
- PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be fully collaborating.
- To investigate and solve customer’s problems (complex and/or long standing).
- To lead special projects making sure a correct implementation of them and follow-up.
- To manage shipments with high complexity maintaining a fluent communication with the client and/or other offices.
- To calculate transit-times.
- To raise jobs in World Courier system and edit them if need arises.
- To select routings by deciding on a single or combination of transportation-types (airplane, car, truck).
- To monitor shipments during the transport until delivery and react flexibly to any deviation from the plan.
- To make sure that shipments are transported within the required temperature range.
- To ensure that temperature monitors are recovered, and the temperature data are provided to the clients on a timely manner.
- To complete jobs (enter extra-charges/revise extra charges).
- To complete reports required by customers.
- To prepare quotations to the customers, if needed.
- To work securely with all pertinent regulations (DGR / IATA) as well as the relevant laws and ordinances.
- To use and maintain the available technical tools.
- To recognize important information and make immediate use of this information.
- To regularly partake in being on-call.
- To make sure all feedback is recorded in the World Courier system.
- To maintain a fluent communication with other departments within the company.
- To make sure all documents related to the shipments are stored correctly and in timely manner.
- To provide feedback to Customer Service Domestic Supervisor.
- To accomplish with the activities in accordance with quality standards as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and GxP compliance program.
- To carry out daily activities according to the Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and other internal guidelines.
HYBRID POSITION
Secondary Duties:
- To support Sales functions by attending meetings with clients and providing operational information as required.
- To comply with the adherence to working hours, as well as to safety, accident-prevention and environmental-protection regulations.
- Any other assessments.
What your background should look like
- EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years Customer Service experience in Logistics or related.
- Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong English (written and spoken).
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:
Direct line to Customer Service Domestic Supervisor.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills in Spanish and English. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversations, interactions and business writing with others.
- Having a high sense of integrity, transparency and accountability in all work tasks and interactions with others.
- Detailed, well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time, prioritizing required actions accordingly to meet required deadlines.
- Solution and Customer Service oriented.
