- Full-time/Exempt**PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
The Membership and Healthy Lifestyles Executive supports the organizational strategic priority of advancing holistic health for individuals and the community. This position assists in overseeing membership and healthy lifestyles strategies and initiatives for the YMCA of Honolulu by developing programs and services to address member and community needs. In conjunction with the Membership SMA leader and Association leadership, the Membership and Healthy Lifestyles Executive is responsible for the evaluation and introduction of holistic health strategies for all, including digital options. The Membership & Healthy Lifestyles Executive assists in the development, growth, and retention of membership and wellness programs, both at traditional branch locations and offsite locations. Key responsibilities for Membership include overseeing the association Corporate Membership/Corporate Wellness program and driving membership sales and member retention strategies. Key responsibilities for Healthy Lifestyles include health & wellness programs, group exercise offerings (land, water, & virtual), personal & group training, and holistic health strategies, including digital options.

This position works to meet the needs of members and the community through program and event development and execution. This role works under the direct supervision of the Membership SMA leader to advance association priorities, enhance membership and healthy lifestyles programs and services, and fund operations and staffing through membership revenue streams.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS**:

- Ensures the Y meets the needs of members and the community through developing, marketing, and implementing membership & wellness programs, strategies, and initiatives.
- Develops and implements Membership programs and events that drive association annual membership growth and retention goals.
- Develops and implements Healthy Lifestyles programs to include virtual offerings, group exercise, specialty holistic health and wellness programs, and personal and group training.
- Responsible for developing and executing Corporate Membership/Corporate Wellness programs and partnerships.
- Serves as a community liaison to special groups and individuals. Attends community health and wellness events.
- Coordinates and leads special events and offerings for Membership and Healthy Lifestyles.
- Explores innovation in class and program offerings. Periodically evaluates class offerings for various locations to ensure they are balanced and reflective of membership and community needs.
- Assists in the development of virtual experiences for health and well-being, including live stream Group Exercise, Y360 virtual platform, and virtual community challenges.
- Ensures the strategic and tactical goals of the Association are met. Keeps in mind the Strategic Advantages of the association: The Y is an inclusive community-centered organization with a wide range of locations and multigenerational programs led by quality staff and volunteers. The Y is a trusted community partner with a respected brand and reputation.
- Utilizes the association Strategy Screen in operational decision-making.
- Understands the association Strategic Priorities including advancing holistic health for individuals and our community, helping youth achieve their full potential, and elevating the Y brand while articulating the positive impact of the organization.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft office programs, and excellent technology experience.
- Ability to operate and train in Active Net and other systems such as MotionVibe, Alaris, etc.
- High knowledge of designing, conducting, and implementing safe and effective programs and events.
- High knowledge of general health and wellness.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, well organized and multi-tasked oriented.

**Education/Training**:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- CPR/AED and First Aid required.
- TB required.

**Experience**:

- 5 years minimum experience in a leadership position, preferably with the YMCA organization.
- 5 years minimum experience working in membership, sales, customer service, and health & wellness related activities.
- Must have experience in working with, training, and developing staff and volunteers.
- General office operations experience preferred.
