About the job:
The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is Looking for a fluent English speaker with an interest in learning about Linux and other Red Hat’s technologies to join us as a Customer Support Specialist in Colombia.

In this role, you will work as part of a multicultural and multilingual customer-facing technical support team that handles support requests from enterprise customers via telephone and web tickets. You’ll cooperate with technical support engineers by providing high quality translations from Spanish to English and vice versa.

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, owning the communication between customers and senior technicians and collaborating with a global technical team. You’ll need to be able to attend technical and non-technical training where you’ll develop your troubleshooting and support skills.

What you will do:

- Interact with customers on a daily basis regarding technical issues; record and document issues
- Translate Spanish queries and technical updates from customers to and from written and spoken English
- Work on a team of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) technical support engineers; cooperate with support management when necessary in order to resolve customer requests
- Actively research customer issues and incorporate your findings into the Red Hat Knowledge Base
- Progressively solve more customer issues by yourself as your technical skills grow
- Translate materials, manuals, and knowledge base articles

What you will bring:

- Exceptional customer service attitude
- Fluent language skills in English at a professional level
- Flexibility, customer focus, and resistance to stress
- Willingness to learn about Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related technologies
- No previous professional technical experience is required, but it is a plus; training is provided to all employees
- Additional professional-level knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
