**A day in the life of a Senior Programs Manager**:
At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of **Senior Programs Manager**, you will have the opportunity to:

- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
- Liaise between Samaritans Purse Colombia and governmental authorities, United Nations agencies, other international non-governmental organizations, donors, and Samaritans Purse Affiliates.
- Guide and empower Program Managers to meet programmatic objectives in ethical, timely, efficient, and cost-effective ways that are consistent with internal Samaritans Purse, external donor, and international standards.
- Support Program Managers with coordination between programs and operations, particularly with supply chain and base logistics, to ensure that project inputs are managed in accordance with project objectives and donor standards.
- Facilitate successive and continuous program development with high standards in appropriateness, timeliness, and effectiveness of sector programs for sustainability, donor compliance, and accountability.
- Provide regular updates and reports about programs to Country Director and ensures that reports to donors, International Headquarters (IHQ), and other stakeholders are submitted in a timely manner.
- Review program finance reports, analyzes the information, and provides feedback to Program Managers and the Finance Manager (FM) regarding program activity and spending.
- Visit program field sites to encourage leaders, provide staff support, address challenges, and explore potential new program opportunities.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; preferably in Program Management; 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to adapt and work in a developing world context.
- Thorough knowledge of program design, proposal development, monitoring and evaluation documents, work-plans, budgets, and other design documents.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to develop and carry out work plans and to solve problems independently.
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
