About the Team

The Security Operations Center (SOC) team at Zoom is the first line of defense for security incidents and threats to Zoom. This team is vital to ensuring a safe and secure experience for Zoom customers.

About The Role

As a Security Analyst reporting to our SOC Manager, you’ll assist in leading a team in response as you investigate information security events and incidents across Zoom’s environment. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of skilled analysts to address complex problems within a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC).

**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures as identified by Detection & Response and SOC leadership to ensure continuous improvements of Zoom’s monitoring, detection and mitigation capabilities.- Monitor the SIEM for security events and alerts to potential or active threats.- Partner with Zoom’s Threat Intelligence team to maintain awareness of the global threat landscape.- Field reported security events from internal teams, and escalate security incidents per Zoom’s incident response plan.- Act as initial point of triage and investigation for Insider Threat cases, working closely with the IRMP team on escalation of cases.- Assist with threat containment and participate in remediation activities during or post incident.- Contribute to security event and/or incident investigation reports.- SOAR playbook ideation, development and curation.

Note: This role is for our mid-day shift, 11:30am-9:30pm MDT. Wed - Sat

About You

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience- 2+ years of direct experience in an Information Security analyst role- Experience with security monitoring in a SOC or Cyber Fusion Center environment- Hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk, Elastic, Qradar), including writing complex queries in SPL, KQL, Lucene, etc.- Functional experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Javascript, Powershell, etc.- Ability to employ critical and analytical thinking, logic and an attention to detail- Excellent written and oral communication skills- Must be a US Citizen or GC holder

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with host and network security tools (EDR, NDR, DLP)- Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation & Response (SOAR) solutions- Security certifications (i.e. CISSP, Security+, GCIH, GCIA) a plus

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$75,900.00

Maximum:
$175,600.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
