An Infrastructure Engineering Manager is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of Cloud Infrastructure, Database management, Incident Management and DevOps for high-availability and massive-use systems. The main responsibility, besides coordinating your team and directing some of our plans, is to design and develop new projects/operations as well as maintain and enhance existing ones.
Como parte de Rappi, serás responsable de:
- Gather high level requirements from stakeholders.- Lead and drive significant results for multiple teams.- Define detailed plans to achieve the goals.- Prioritize tasks in order to achieve goals.- Unlock the team for an effective execution.- Handle stakeholders expectations and negotiate deliverables.- Communicate results and give updates.- Hire and build a distributed, happy, and successful team- Give regular and clear feedback around the individual’s performance- Motivate and empower the team.-
- Identify and develop future leaders.- Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities.- Detect opportunities and improve processes.- Define objectives and measure performance globally and individually over the team.- Provide periodic on-call escalations support based on established 24/7/365 support schedules.- Provide advanced Incident Management and Problem Management support to teams, to effectively identify, remediate, and resolve issues related to platform reliability, stability, and performance through careful analysis of telemetry data and system logs.- Monitors(automated telemetry), troubleshoots, maintains, and continuously improves building, packaging, deployment processes, and automatic infrastructure management.
Bien y ahora, ¿Cuáles son los requisitos para que yo sea parte de este universo de neón?- Effectively delegate work- Background in engineering, bachelor or related.- Engineering experience- Experience implementing cloud native with Kubernetes, Docker, Service Mesh (Istio), Ansible, and AWS.- Experience implementing incident management and NOC.- Experience leading a DBA team ensuring availability, performance, security, and recoverability of databases.- Experience implementing monitoring, automated telemetry and observability solutions.- Experience working at hyper growth startups.- Leadership skills to manage and develop a team- Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment- Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience- Focus on impact.- Agile methodologies.- English proficiency.Tolerance to frustration and sudden changes
