With direction from the Controller of Consumer Solutions and in close partnership with all functions globally, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for the Vantage financial accounting function supporting our Consumer Solutions business group. Responsibilities include establishing timely internal and external reporting and analysis on what is driving the company’s performance/position and ensuring proper controls are in place globally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder’s equity and cash flow statements in accordance with US GAAP- Work closely with facility controllers to analyze and review monthly balance sheet and P&L results, as well as complete and review all balance sheet account reconciliations- Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly analysis of financial results to support the financial statements and provide clarity to Controller of Consumer Solutions and VP of Accounting regarding movements in key balance sheet and non-operating income statement accounts.- Review and analysis of shared service journal entries and reconciliations- Understand & maintain financial reporting and general ledger structure to maximize current and future reporting requirements and consistency across business units.- Assist Controllers in reporting key metrics and KPIs across the organization- Assist with the external audit process working closely with external audit partners- Participate in cross functional projects and assist other functions with financial reporting and disclosure matters- Assist with preparation and analysis of operating cost budgets and forecasts.- Assist with the preparation of Capital project authorizations and approvals.- Assist with physical inventory counts and safeguarding of these assets.

DESIRED BACKGROUND- Bachelor’s degree in accounting- 3-5 years of financial reporting experience- CPA preferred- Manufacturing experience a plus
