**Introduction**
As a Cloud Sales Specialist, your mission is to work with Ecosystem Partners to identify opportunities, and progress technical sales, resulting in client success and IBM Technology business growth in your territory. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to expand Ecosystem partner skills coverage for your specialty in order to scale success in your territory. Your understanding of the Ecosystem enables you to identify and involve the right Ecosystem Partners with the right skills for client and territory success. You will leverage your technical insights to work alongside our Ecosystem Partners to remove technical inhibitors and co-deliver demos with Partners, support partner PoX, advise partners on Solution Assurance, and progress opportunities to closure. You will engage with Partners and Clients with an opinionated point of view as an IBM technologist, practitioner and brand specialty solution expert. Partner Technical Specialist is part of the overall Ecosystem team with overall responsibility to assist in the building of partner capability and capacity for sustained IBM growth.

**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and successfully execute all required sales-related activities within an assigned territory or set of accounts to achieve assigned financial sales objectives.
- Develop a strong ecosystem bringing new partners on board and increasing the installed base of consumption.
- Activities include working with and leveraging other IBM client-facing teams to create demand, identify opportunities, qualify opportunities, and then directly execute high-quality professional engagements that result in winning opportunities that achieve assigned targets while providing high-value customer solutions.
- Build rapport with business partners and manage existing relationships to deliver a best-in-class service while increasing IBM’s share within their environment.
- Identify markets and create opportunities to grow your business partners' base.
- Use sales forecasting tools to represent your business appropriately and accurately.
- Communicate & influence at IT Director/CIO level (Oral and Written) by understanding requirements and articulating our solutions' business value.
- Team with IBM’s Business Partners to drive more opportunities.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Sales Experience as well as a strong understanding of Cloud technologies & digital transformation.
- Knowledge of business partners' procedures and distributors
- Leadership skills with self-motivation
- Ability to collaborate with teams within IBM and external business partners.
- Creative problem solver and open to change
- Ability to work in complex, matrix-managed organizational environments.
- Client Facing Experience including the Ability to articulate business models, value, pricing, and terms.
- Develop, execute, and communicate a clear winning strategy for IBM Public Cloud.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- 3 - 5 years of Ecosystem Sales experience.
- Experience engaging with business partners.
- Relationship skills with the whole ecosystem, including distributors + Business Partners.
