**Position Summary**

The Legal Entity Controller (LEC) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial results of the legal entities in the location whilst ensuring that businesses booking in the legal entities comply with the applicable accounting regulatory requirements.

The LEC ensures that other functional areas execute their identified responsibilities in a manner that maintains the accuracy of the books and records, and escalates issues appropriately. The scope will include coordination among other areas within F&BM (Product Control, Financial Control, Business Management, and Program Management) as well as other areas, including Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Oversight & Control, Audit, Real Estate, etc.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for acting as support and interface with other areas of the business about financial and regulatory issues.
- Management of financial functions in Colombia, such as control over finance reports, regulatory reports as well as management reports.
- Ensure the integrity, suitability, and accuracy of the financial statements (accounting and reports) of the entities in Colombia both locally and in the region. Ensure compliance with the regulations applicable to legal entities in Colombia at the level of banking regulation as well as tax regulation.
- Supervise the process of planning and business management
- Present periodic reports to the senior business management.
- Coordinate and supervise operational and financial risk associated to financial statements processes.
- Participate in the analysis and in the approval of new products that will be implemented in Colombia, ensuring that they comply with local policies and control processes related to its accounting and financial statements representation.
- Define the accounting policy (Local GAAP/US GAAP) for all products offered by JPMorgan in Colombia, ensuring that they comply with local regulations.
- Responsible for the preparation, control and monitoring of revenue plan as well as monitoring of expenses at the level of business line, customers, and products.
- Supervise that the results generated comply with the reality of the business and analyze the variations that arise against the business plan.
- Supervise the policy of allocating expenses among the business lines as well as having control and follow-up on the indirect expenses that are allocated by the subsidiaries or foreign support units.
- Control over the coverage as with the capital structure of the business.
- Liaison with external and internal auditors.

**Qualifications**
- Accountant with 10 + years of experience in Finance / control related activities.
- Strong GAAP knowledge preferred. (Local GAAP & US GAAP).
- Enthusiastic and able to motivate teams and drive change.
- Good financial product knowledge, risk knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively, meet challenging deadlines and to work under pressure.
- Analytical and quantitative aptitude - ability to identify and solve problems independently.
- Team player with ability in managing processes and interacting with the business.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
- Strong technical skills (Advanced Excel)
- Proven ability to manage a team
