Job Description

Our US-based client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their accounting department by providing support for accounting software like QuickBooks Online and Oracle NetSuite.

Responsibilities

Ensuring Accurate and Up-to-Date Financials:

  • Organize files and trackers/work papers are updated.
  • Ensuring data entry into Bill.com and QuickBooks Online is accurate.
  • Reconcile accounts at month-end for complete financial picture.
  • Record journal entry adjustments like prepayments and depreciation.
  • Manage accounts payable email inboxes and manage invoice entry to Bill.com.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable, control accounts, and statements.

Enhancing Efficiency and Accuracy:

  • Maintain clean general ledger accounts.
  • Review procedures to streamline month-end closing and ensure accurate entries.
  • Analyze and improve accounting processes for better efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts (US GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks Online and/or Oracle NetSuite (a plus).
  • Familiarity with Bill.com (a plus).
