Job summary:

In this position, you as a local accounting specialist, you will be responsible for assigned duties to Americas, as part of the accounting area of which you are a part and under the coordination of the Associate Director Accounting and Finance, working for the South Pole and also with external stakeholders to ensure that reports are produced in a timely manner.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of accounting entries, recording, analysis and application of withholdings at source.
  2. Follow-up of activities and coordination within the accounting team in accordance with assigned functions.
  3. Follow-up of accounts in charge, coordinating execution with the officer in charge.
  4. Participation as part of the accounting team in the delivery of information to control entities.
  5. Annual preparation of the tax due date schedule and information to the control entities.
  6. Participation in the preparation of taxes for delivery to the Statutory Auditor, coordinating with the Senior Specialist Accounting.
  7. Prepare and analyze your accounts in charge.
  8. Prepare cash flow reports and liquidity analysis for senior management.
  9. Assume, if necessary, new responsibilities in the accounting and financial area for the growth of South Pole Colombia, adapting to new processes, responsibilities, or other relevant functions for the finance and administration team.

Requirements:

Essential -

  1. Completed studies in Public Accounting.
  2. Verified experience in the accounting area, management in operational and control processes, in addition to meeting objectives.
  3. Specialization in accounting or tax area preferred.
  4. Up-to-date accounting and tax knowledge, perspectives on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  5. Working knowledge of accounting ERPs.
  6. Proficient written and oral proficiency in Spanish and English preferred, minimum B2.
  7. Knowledge and ability to handle Google Sheets.
  8. Team-oriented with a positive attitude, creativity, and prudence.
  9. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
