Job Description

Hybrid role located in Bogota, Colombia

Physical presence required on-site once monthly.

Language skills needed: Spanish & English

The University Recruiter serves as a strategic consultant and talent advisor to client stakeholders, spearheading university recruitment initiatives. This role involves collaborating with academic institutions, career centers, and faculty to nurture relationships with students for co-op, internship, and entry-level opportunities. Identifying and recommending top-tier candidates, ensuring a diverse and high-quality talent pool, and representing the client's brand are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with clients to assess co-op, internship, and entry-level hiring needs throughout the year.

- Develop timelines and project plans for engagement with academic institutions, coordinating participation and maintaining regular communication.

- Generate interest and awareness internally about University Recruitment using effective communication strategies.

- Cultivate talent pipelines with academic partners and keep institutions informed about job openings year-round.

- Provide progress updates to key stakeholders, including UR Leadership, Talent Acquisition, and business divisions.

- Manage program budget, plan events, and make necessary purchases.

Finding Candidates

- Review candidates applying through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

- Assess candidate qualifications against job requirements to determine progression in recruitment processes.

- Develop and implement recruitment marketing and sourcing strategies aligned with search criteria.

- Source candidates using resume databases, search engines, and networking platforms with Boolean search language.

- Seek referrals from business networks and internal sources.

- Utilize Cielo's proprietary software for talent community engagement.

Engaging Candidates

- Employ various communication channels to connect with university talent communities (phone, email, social media).

- Communicate the value proposition to interested candidates effectively.

- Prepare candidates for interviews, offering guidance on logistics, attire, and expectations.

- Provide candidates timely updates on application statuses and interviews.

Assessing Candidates

- Use discretion to evaluate candidate skills against job requirements for role suitability and potential matches with other vacancies.

- Administer skills tests as needed and review results based on process guidelines.

- Review background and references as required by the process.

Influencing the Hire

- Maintain candidate engagement, ensuring consistent communication regarding search status.

- Collaborate with hiring managers on offer details, using market insights and compensation guidelines for recommendations.

- Present job offers to candidates, negotiate as needed for successful acceptance.

Service Excellence

- Adhere strictly to all regulations.

- Deliver a strong candidate slate, consistently building talent pipelines to ensure a pool of qualified candidates at all times.

- Provide accurate and regular recruiting activity reports to hiring managers and Cielo leadership, depicting metrics and efforts.

- Identify challenges in searches, research solutions, and present recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

- Update hiring managers regularly on search progress, offering consultative advice on the way forward.

Qualifications

Education

- High school diploma required. A bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or related field is highly desirable.

Experience

- Minimum of two years of successful recruiting experience in corporate, RPO, or agency settings.

- Background in university recruiting is advantageous.

- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and social media recruitment tools.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

- Proficient in Boolean search techniques for candidate sourcing.

- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Ability to present and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.

- Familiarity with common HR principles, practices, and talent acquisition metrics.
