We offer Fractional CFO services for rapidly growing eCommerce Brands and Agencies in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom with a single purpose in mind: To assist eCommerce business owners in expanding their businesses with increased liquidity and reduced anxiety.

This entails a diverse set of skills, including financial modeling, risk management, familiarity with US/Canadian GAAP, funding, auditing, investor relations, and more.

Although we are a small company, we are experiencing rapid growth, providing you with the opportunity to specialize and progress into future roles such as Finance Manager or VP Finance.

Lastly, similar to what you would expect from a finance company, we put in the effort when necessary, but we do not overburden ourselves. We do not miss our children's events, we exercise during the day, and we typically finish work early on Fridays.

You will support a diverse group of clients worldwide with financial modeling, budgeting, cash flow projections, scenario planning, variance analysis, and more.

You will contribute to market research and trend analysis to offer our clients insights on enhancing their operations, financial framework, and performance outcomes.

You will construct 3-statement financial models from scratch, subsequently running and adjusting them monthly based on clients' actual outcomes.

You will engage with various tech/software platforms such as Shopify, Quickbooks Online, Xero, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, Gusto, and others.

Requirements

Time Zone
  • You will operate in either Vancouver, Canada or Toronto, Canada time zone
Financial Modeling

We create forecasts that are pragmatic, resilient, and valuable for decision-making.

  • Develop 3-statement, dynamic financial models
  • Adjust the models every month (at a minimum) and alert clients, CFOs, etc., about potential concerns
  • Gather data on scenarios for analysis within the model
  • Conduct market research to enhance the models further
Financial Reporting

We evaluate the past to prepare for the future, managing cash flow and mitigating risks.

  • Monthly financial reporting bundle with analysis and remarks
  • Establishing and updating KPI dashboards
  • Developing and updating 3-statement financial forecasts
  • Monitoring and projecting cash flow
  • Updating Board and Investor reporting presentations
Key Qualifications
  • You possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • You exhibit exceptional speed in creating, updating, and resolving issues in financial models
  • You comprehend North American accounting standards
  • You are self-driven
  • You can use judgment and innovation to address challenges

Experience and Education
  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree
  • You possess a professional certification or Master's Degree (CPA, CA, MFin, MSc)
  • You boast over 5 years of experience as a financial analyst
