What You Will Do
The International Trade Manager is responsible to manage transportation & customs service functions in LAN & MX.

This includes developing, implementing and administering systems, procedures and processes and providing effective transportation services to meet customer service levels, revenue objectives, and compliance regulations while minimizing risk and overall costs.

Key Responsibilities
***- Manages daily operation of transportation services through subordinate.

  • Develops and implements transportation service policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures.
  • Leads negotiations and executions of transportation service agreements and contracts including domestic freight, household goods moves, imports and exports, special regimes for all modes of transportation.
  • Reviews collection of loss/damage claims/insurance settlements for all shipments.
  • Solves complex supplier quality problems and improves business processes.
  • Establishes transportation carrier tariff classifications and routings for all shipments.
  • Manages research on transportation methods, rates, and routes.
  • Improves profitability through process improvements and utilization of resources.
  • Costs Control and Budget definition for international freights, taxes and customs clearance including import duties per country (landed cost)
  • Third parties contracts management like customs brokers and other suppliers involved in import and export activities observing compliance aspects
  • Ensure the Customs & Trade Compliance
  • Observe and guarantee all processes and procedures are defined in accordance with internal compliance requirements and governance guidelines
  • Develops and implements programs to support the company logistics initiatives for worldwide leveraging and contracting opportunities through cooperation with carriers.
Oversees internal/external legal or government audits of the group's compliance.

Supervises the preparation of import documents through the import broker(s) and Customs.

Qualifications:

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in the field of economics, engineer, business management, administration, foreign trade and related areas
  • Professional experience in Trade Compliance, Compliance Regulatory or Consulting in the area.
  • Requires 1012 Years Work Experience
  • Your English skills are business fluent, preferably you have working experience in different LATAM countries
  • Willingness to travel as required up to 30%
  • Capacity to engage, influence and manage relationships with key partners, act as a leader;
  • Desired Qualifications
  • SAP (required);
  • Microsoft Office Package (required);
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience working on Consumer Companies
