Position : Logistics Financial Controller

Working Hours : M-F 9am-5pm EST

Salary : 4,000USD to 5,000USD

Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee and execute our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Consistently keeping information up to date in real-time. The Controller will be responsible for managing financial activities, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process with an external accountant.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities with all vendors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and optimize financial performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
