Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Remote (EST Timezone)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM EST

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team and oversee all financial operations within our organization. The role of the Financial Controller is crucial in establishing accounting policies, monitoring financial health, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. Your expertise will be key in optimizing profits, managing risks, and upholding financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and revise accounting policies to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Supervise timely processing of all payments, including accounts payable and deposits.
  • Review departmental budgets quarterly and annually, analyzing costs and revenue.
  • Establish and monitor financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge company performance.
  • Create risk evaluation models to assess investments and financial tactics.
  • Regularly report on financial status and generate ad-hoc reports when necessary.
  • Maintain precise and current financial record-keeping systems.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team to effectively fulfill departmental duties.

Requirements:

  • Prior work experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar capacity, showcasing a strong grasp of financial management.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and regulations, including GAAP.
  • Hands-on familiarity with general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, utilizing accounting software efficiently.
  • Background in cash management, risk assessment, and financial analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus, though not mandatory.
