Job Summary:

This specialist will support the configuration of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and other associated process control systems for new product introductions and existing production activities.

The position is aligned with key business areas to achieve high levels of collaboration and the development of a sustainable digital manufacturing solution.

They will support mapping future processes and drive innovative solutions that streamline and automate production processes.

The specialist executes activities in a timely manner outlined by the project team, supports the update of new work instructions and procedures that conform to regulatory requirements and standards, and delivers training to users on MES.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in implementation with Quality & Operations teams to map the current and future state processes.
  • Support the digital manufacturing leader ensuring that the solution design satisfies all functional requirements, such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Validation.
  • Aid in system configuration and UAT script execution for new product introduction.
  • Work within the team to understand issues and translate them into innovative solutions that add business value.
  • Formulate procedures, and work instructions for new processes as a result of digital solutions for manufacturing sites.
  • Gather relevant information and data in order to aid the successful building of solutions.
  • Maintain and assure the quality of master data for manufacturing systems.
  • Give support to end users of Manufacturing Systems to assure the continuity of the process of planning and production of the sites.
  • Generate reports and metrics that highlight improvement areas. Coordinate and deliver training on the MES tool and new processes where applicable.

Expected Areas of Competence:

  • Basic understanding of MES and other associated process control systems.
  • Previous experience in Operations for a regulated industry with particular emphasis on IT system solutions.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships internal and external.
  • Ability to deliver, meet deadlines, and have results orientation
  • Able to communicate both orally and in written form to multiple levels of the company.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with all manufacturing functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Prior MES or eDHR experience is considered to be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Camstar modeling is considered an advantage. Strong understanding/ experience of the Life Sciences industry is a plus

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Information Systems Management is advantageous.
  • 25 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Fluent in English, both in written and oral communication is required
  • Basic understanding of MES and other associated process control systems.
Previous experience in Operations for a regulated industry with particular emphasis on IT system solutions.
