    THE CHALLENGE:
The Finance Officer has the responsibility for overseeing financial records for the Latam Units, monitoring of internal controls and monthly budget execution

A FLAVOUR OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Oversee the accounting function, budgeting, planning, cash flow and forecasting activities alongside the Finance Director and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing)
  • Facilitate the implementation of the procurement system in Latam and being the point of contact for the latter internally in Latam
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reports on budgeted/forecasted and actual costs
  • Assist in the preparation and review of business cases and raise points of concern to the Finance Director / Malta finance team
  • Ensure and support on the accuracy of Financial Results/Records, keeping supporting documentation of the reconciliations and controls executed
  • Ensure and validate monthly reconciliations of the B/S
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly reports, as assigned, covering performance which are presented to finance leaders and OM
  • Reviewing of commercial clauses in contracts as applicable
  • Support the Finance Director and the headquarters finance team with any additional tasks concerning the accounting and financial areas
  • Work responsibly and proactively towards the meeting of local and group deadlines for the submission of documents for all processes established
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information
  • Provide documentation, explanations, and support for external audit requests
  • Support the preparation and presentation of statutory/legal reports and obligations that are not covered by the BPO
  • Ensure compliance of the internal control procedures and processes and suggest changes or improvements

YOU'RE GOOD AT:

  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Fluent in English level B2 a MUST
  • Accounting qualification (CPA / ACCA or equivalent)
- +3 years of working experience in Accounting and Controlling

  • Experience in multinational companies and/or startups.
  • Analytical horsepower
  • Complete knowledge of Colombia GAAP, Colombian accounting reports and tributary laws.
  • Solid experience in national and local tax reporting, DIAN, Withholding, Income Tax, Payroll.
  • Problemsolving, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excited to learn new things and take on additional tasks to support the team
