As Claims Analyst, you will be responsible for providing an efficient service to the business by adhering to our values and best practice procedures. You will employ your exceptional customer service experience and collaborative attitude to build effective working relationships with a wide and demanding client group.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintain full responsibility for a portfolio of Assumed Reinsurance claims, ensuring data reflects accurate positions in accordance with reinsurance contract terms.
  • Understand reinsurance contracts and review claims to verify coverage, evaluate exposure, post reserves, and authorize claim payments.
  • Liaise with Brokers, Underwriters, Actuaries, and Claims management to ensure all stakeholders are fully briefed.
  • Work on reviews and projects as requested by the line manager and inform of progress and issues.
  • Maintain awareness of ongoing internal initiatives that could impact services within your area of responsibility.
  • Administer assigned portfolio of claims in accordance with Global Claims Handling Guidelines.
  • Process claims reserve and payments within established timeframes, ensuring all claims records are accurate.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is associated with the appropriate Claim record, maintaining electronic files.
  • Confirm information as requested for the Letter of Credit process.
  • Proactively manage workload, ensuring workflow procedures are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with other regional claim departments, focusing on identification of major loss exposures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Reinsurance/Insurance Industry.
  • College graduate caliber.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Reinsurance/Insurance contracts, claims terminology, and calculations.
  • Proven track record of providing first-class customer service.
  • Close attention to financial detail with strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Willingness to ask questions and explore new ideas for efficiency and improvement.
  • Able to organize self, including effective scheduling and time management skills.
  • Previous experience with Reinsurance & Claims administration systems.
  • Multi-lingual (Spanish & English) is required.
