They will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust backend solutions, ensuring seamless integration of email and live notification features, and utilizing advanced functions of Node.js to deliver high-quality, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable, high-performance backend solutions for the Transport
  • Management System using Node.js.
  • Utilize MongoDB, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Redis for data storage, ensuring efficient and secure data handling.
  • Perform database optimization and maintenance.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs to facilitate communication between various system components using OpenAPI and GraphQL Playground.
  • Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading to support system functionality.
  • Leverage advanced Node.js features and frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, and Koa.js to optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Implement email and live notification systems to enhance user communication and engagement.
  • Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure code quality and security standards are met.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive sessions with the Technical Writer for code, processes, and system architecture documentation.
  • Analyze, debug, and work closely with the Backend team to support and monitor the production environment.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Node.js development (minimum of 7 years of experience).
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Redis, including experience with database design and optimization.
  • Proven experience in developing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL process design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in advanced Node.js functions and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience in designing and developing microservices-based architectures.
  • Strong understanding of code quality standards and best practices.
  • Experience with scheduling jobs and background tasks.
  • Experience in implementing email and live notification systems.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns like Microservices and MVC.
  • Strong unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Cloudwatch.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience in the Logistics Industry and developing or maintaining Transport Management Systems or similar applications.
