Tax Planning Supervisor

This position reports into Direct Tax Brazil Manager and is based at Brazil (São José dos Campos or São Paulo) or Colombia (Bogotá).

What you will do

The Supervisor will drive the tax planning and must directly and indirectly influence decision-making, challenging the status quo using fact-based data and law, which place an emphasis on optimizing the tax burden.

The individual must follow the internal and external Tributary environment to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, while developing trust-based relationships across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support regional process, review, and analysis for Kenvue Effective Tax Rate and tax cash flow for each forecasting and actual cycle.
  • Support analysis of Brazil and regional pricing (ICP subsidies) Kenvue operating policies in close collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Global Services as well as Global Transfer Pricing.
  • Support analysis of Brazilian tax planning strategies to complement the Kenvue businesses and marketing strategies and advise internal clients of tax implications related to business strategies including R&D, Supply Chain and Trade Compliance
  • Manage special projects for the region that encompass various tax disciplines, functions, and business partners.
  • Review Brazilian statutory filings, corporate income tax returns, Pis&Cofins, withholding tax and other key submissions prepared by regional co-source providers.
  • Support internal and external regional audits as they relate to global Kenvue tax and transfer pricing.
  • Identify, execute, and govern tax planning strategies, opportunities, and solutions to manage risk.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business partners including Finance and Supply Chain, Global Tax Reporting and Compliance teams, Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing and Tax Disputes

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law/accounting/finance.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Tax/finance/accounting/ or related business.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (desirable).
  • Experience in US-headquartered multinational company.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools and have an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities (data, fact patterns, external tax/legal frameworks).
  • Strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with cross-functional, non-tax personnel.
