The Hispanic Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors for the business and for long standing relations with clients. Job Purpose:

The Special Projects Manager Junior (SPM Junior) for the COO Office Hispanic LatAm is a distinct transversal role for Hispanic LatAm, who coordinates local and regional projects across any business lines and supporting functions organizations in Hispanic LatAm. This role requires agility to refocus and prioritize a continuously evolving set of projects as the needs of the platform change.  The responsibilities listed below may not be exhaustive

In addition to local and regional projects, the SPM Junior is required to lead, represent and coordinate Hispanic LatAm in its participation to global projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Drive and support priority projects for the Hispanic Latam COO office

§  Support COO office on priorities to be identified under the four pillars of Operational Excellence, including, but not limited to, project management, communications material development, and any additional transformation needs

§  Support the evolving needs and priorities of the COO office by structuring and executing projects and transitioning them to BAU where appropriate

§  Solicit inputs and participation from various stakeholders across the platform

§  Drive decision making and execution along project timelines

§  Develop communication materials and ensure appropriate stakeholder management in regard to projects

§  Support and, when required, lead talent initiatives that apply to the COO perimeter, which can include re-or upskilling, rising talent development, or facilitating mobility

§  Identify opportunities for enhancements and continuous improvement mechanisms wherever feasible

§  Design project’s business case: rationale, benefits, risks & dependencies, project costs, running costs, expected revenues and/or savings (if any)

Lead and deliver some of these projects

§  Act as project manager for transversal and regional transformation projects, understanding the overall project plan and timeframe, keeping to the defined schedule and using discretion to consider actionable next steps, monitoring and reporting of project health, issues and risks including escalation to sponsor and management

§  Prepare presentations and conduct project meetings / discussions with project sponsor and stakeholders, including problem solving

§  Drive consensus and coordination among a diverse group of stakeholders from different organizations across the bank as needed

§  Create and maintain project governance with senior management (i.e. charters, committees, roadmaps) and artifacts (i.e. process workflow, RACI, UAT test scenarios)

§  For his/her project scope, ensure individual deliverables are met with high quality

§  Be vigilant in identifying issues/inefficiencies/risks surrounding the project and continuously develop and propose strategies for improvement

§  As necessary, perform creative and effective market research and data analysis

§  As necessary, prepare and proactively participate in presentations and interviews

Maintain and support COO office governance, reporting, and documentation

§  Ensure adequate documentation of Hispanic Latam COO office governance and projects is up-to-date and traceable for future reference (Organization charts, committee’s structures and governance)

§  Support preparation of committees and management meetings as necessary

§  Monitor progress of key projects, initiatives on the platform, and ensure appropriate reporting to senior management

Minimum Required Qualifications

§  3-5 years of work experience as project or program manager or in a PMO in the Financial sector

§  Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

§  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish

§  Ability to understand and summarize complex and/or technical issues

§  Positive, energetic, flexible and self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills

§  Work with and challenge all levels of the organization in a positive, constructive manner

§  Prioritization of tasks / organization and ability to multi-task

§  Engage with senior management at an appropriate level

§  Good understanding of Global Banking and Global Markets products suite

§  Good understanding of financial services supporting functions organizations

§  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

§  Background and knowledge of BNP Paribas Americas organization

§  Specific experience working in a certain department at BNP Paribas Americas

§  Knowledge of French is a plus

§  Experience in Multinational companies
