We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations and transactions of our company. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• In-charge of the daily activities of the financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments)

and ensure that all major company, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately

and on time.

• Manages the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable,

accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

• Prepares the monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce

compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.

• Prepares semi-monthly payroll, ensures that proper withholding and remittance of social security

and taxes is in accordance with the law.

• Monitoring of petty cash set up by the Company to cover the daily small expenditures.

• Ensures that spending meets approved budgets and adheres to the objectives, and restrictions,

and in accordance with operating procedures.

• Review and submits all books of accounts entries and trial balance.

• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and suggest necessary adjustments on reconciling items.

• Reviews and process all request for payments, ensures payment are made accurately and in a

timely manner.

• Ensures that statutory and tax payments are complied and paid before the due date.

• Prepares the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Assists in the Budgeting and forecasting for the business.

• Monitor income and expenses closely and financial details to ensure legal compliance.

• Maintains an accurate filing and record-keeping system for all financial statements and company

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy and CPA Licensure.

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Access).

• Bi-lingual, must be fluent in English and Spanish.

• Colombia payroll processing, social security and tax compliance experience is a must.

• Preferably with at least 2 years experience in the different accounting principles and procedures

including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, financial

statement preparation and financial reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely collections within the

accounts receivable process.

• Extensive knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures, with the ability to oversee

and manage daily financial transactions from start to finish.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

• Proven track record of effectively leading and managing a team, with strong mentoring,

coaching, and people management skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

• Demonstrate excellent management skills in planning, problem-solving, decision making, and

communication.

• Ability to create and conduct a cost analysis.

• Ability to manage time effectively.
