Job Purpose

This is a hands-on position which requires analytical thinking to design, document, execute and report on quality testing of the Company’s software. A basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of testing and how to construct tests that exercise all key application features is required.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced agile environment. Various aspects of testing theory, test automation, and the Quorum suite of products will be introduced by direct supervision. 

What You Will Do:

Designs, modifies, and executes test cases as an individual contributor, and reviews and approves test cases of peers Creates and updates Test Plans and other guidelines around testing activities Performs system, exploratory, regression and acceptance level testing. Demonstrates understanding and application of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for software testing. Records and Reports failures and bugs and assist in validating fixes. Successfully completes individual deliverables with general supervision Documents possible improvements or challenges with the established work processes Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Able to mentor or lead small teams on established activities And other duties as assigned.

What to Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Computer Science 1 – 3 years in software testing Experienced with black box testing and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts. Able to create and utilize Master Test Plans that capture scope and strategy for release testing. Able to mentor or lead small teams on established activities Aptitude to learn new applications that support the Energy Sector

Additional Details

Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and Passport/ID validation. Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in Colombia is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable. Current professional card or registration in Colombia (if applicable): The successful candidate will be required to present their professional card or registration information if the role is deemed to be regulated. Onboarding Medical: The successful candidate will be required to undergo an onboarding medical examination prior to commencement of employment, in accordance with Colombian legislation.
