Job Description

At Sutherland - NICE Actimize, we are currently seeking Cloud Application Operation Engineers to work with its hosted clients on AWS.

Main Duties:

  • Support AWS Cloud applications infrastructure to ensure mission-critical applications run smoothly.
  • Monitor systems, scheduled jobs, batch processes, working with alerts & RDS databases.
  • Work closely with clients & internal stakeholders to ensure high availability so that we always meet our uptime SLAs for applications.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent English written & verbal communication skills (B2 or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience working in AWS & supporting mission critical enterprise production grade applications.
  • Must be diligent, detail oriented & task driven.
  • Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long-term objectives.
  • Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems.
  • Excellent hands-on experience in managing Application Support (n-tier apps).
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Understand & follow change management practices.
  • Exposure in handling complex application performance issues.
  • Exposure to APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace.
  • Monitoring systems and setting up alerts (Nagios, etc.).
  • Excellent skills on managing containerized (Kubernetes) / cloud-based application with exposure to various cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, VPC, VPN).
  • Good experience in a DevOps environment / Operations team / Infrastructure Operations team.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills.
  • OS level knowledge (Windows & Linux).
  • Database skills (MSSQL/Oracle/Postgres, Cassandra).
  • Application Server (skills on any of Middleware technologies e.g. – Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere).
  • Ability to identify the underlying root cause of performance issues & mitigate bottlenecks & document.
  • Good understanding on Networking, Load balancers.
  • Exposure to scripting language (Python, Shell script, Ansible, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell etc.)
  • Experience in working with tools like OpsGenie, Nagios, Rundeck.
