Description
Global Technical Coordinator — Major Projects Delivery (MPD)
• Role Objective The Global Technical Coordinator coordinates the deployment, standardisation, and sustained adoption of InEight across regions, deploying wherever programme priorities and implementation demand require. Serving as the primary coordination link among business stakeholders, project delivery and project controls teams, Regional SMEs, technical resources, and global programme leadership, the role supports the complete implementation lifecycle: from readiness assessment, process definition, and configuration through to training, Go-Live, stabilisation, and transition to business-as-usual operations. The Global Technical Coordinator translates global MPD delivery standards and regional requirements into practical, repeatable processes that can be applied consistently across business units, offices, projects, and geographies. The role is a hands-on implementation and business process role that leads the development and maintenance of project delivery standards — including handbooks, SOPs, work instructions, process maps, RACIs, user guides, training materials, governance models, and reporting standards — in each implementation context. The role requires comfort operating across different regions, cultures, time zones, business sectors, and organisational levels, adapting implementation support to local needs while maintaining alignment with global programme standards. The GTC operates under the direction of the Global Implementation Lead, who owns the deployment lifecycle and to whom the GTC reports and escalates on all implementation matters. The GTC coordinates with the Global Technical Lead on platform standards and quality gate requirements, but does not report to or escalate directly to the GTL independently of the GIL.
•
Key Responsibilities
2.1 Implementation Coordination
• Coordinate InEight implementations across regions as programme needs require, executing plans issued by the Global Implementation Lead in alignment with the global MPD roadmap.
• Coordinate business units, project teams, Regional SMEs, Project Managers, Project Controllers, and technical resources throughout readiness, onboarding, configuration, training, Go-Live, stabilisation, and transition to business-as-usual support.
• Lead implementation planning and governance, facilitating workshops and status meetings while managing milestones, deliverables, resources, dependencies, decisions, risks, issues, and competing priorities.
• Monitor and communicate implementation performance, ensuring regional and project requirements remain aligned with global standards, governance, and platform expectations while supporting multiple projects across countries, time zones, languages, and business sectors. 2.2 Process Standardisation & Documentation
• Lead the development and governance of InEight operating standards, translating project delivery and project controls requirements into practical, repeatable, and auditable processes aligned with global programme expectations.
• Develop and maintain controlled documentation including Project Controls handbooks, SOPs, work instructions, user guides, process maps, RACIs, implementation playbooks, training materials, checklists, templates, and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate stakeholders and facilitate process workshops to assess current-state practices, define future-state processes, establish roles, controls, approvals, decision rights, systems, records, and KPIs, and eliminate unnecessary complexity, duplication, variation, and manual workarounds.
• Manage the implementation documentation lifecycle and continuous improvement process, maintaining approved materials in a centralised repository with appropriate ownership, version control, review cycles, and lessons learned, while promoting consistent reuse across regions, business units, and projects. 2.3 Configuration and Workflow Support
• Translate approved business processes and standards into InEight configuration requirements, coordinating pre-configuration reviews to confirm scope, data, roles, approvals, dependencies, and key business decisions.
• Coordinate Regional SMEs, project teams, and technical resources during configuration, ensuring that workflow decisions align with approved operating processes and global platform standards.
• Manage configuration governance and quality assurance, documenting decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and approved variations, escalating deviations or unnecessary customisation to the Global Implementation Lead for review and resolution.
• Coordinate workflow validation and implementation readiness, including business reviews, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, acceptance, and alignment among configuration, procedures, training, and reporting, incorporating lessons learned into configuration standards. 2.4 Project Controls & Business Process Support
• Integrate Project Controls practices into InEight workflows, applying knowledge of cost, budget, forecasting, schedule, progress measurement, change, document control, and project reporting processes.
• Coordinate Project Controls and project delivery stakeholders to standardise definitions, data structures, process steps, controls, calendars, governance checkpoints, and reporting requirements while maintaining global consistency.
• Improve processes, systems, and data integration by reducing manual effort and duplicate entry, clarifying system responsibilities, data ownership, process hand-offs, and sources of truth across InEight and related enterprise platforms.
• Coordinate performance reporting and continuous improvement, establishing consistent KPIs and implementation visibility while recommending practical solutions that balance global governance, regional requirements, operational needs, and platform capabilities. 2.5 Training Delivery
• Complete the MPD InEight Train-the-Trainer programme and maintain the process and platform proficiency required to support implementations across assigned regions.
• Coordinate and deliver role-based InEight training to Regional SMEs, project teams, and designated users in professional English and Spanish, adapting delivery to regional needs while maintaining global standards.
• Develop and maintain reusable training materials, including facilitator guides, demonstrations, exercises, quick-reference guides, and supporting documentation, updating content as processes, systems, and governance evolve.
• Manage training readiness and ongoing enablement by coordinating nominations, schedules, logistics, attendance, completion, and competency evidence, providing Go-Live coaching, tracking capability gaps, and arranging targeted reinforcement or refresher training. 2.6 User Adoption Support
• Support the Global Business Owner’s OCM strategy at the project and regional level, coordinating organisational readiness, user enablement, and adoption activities in line with the direction set by the GBO.
• Engage impacted stakeholders across functions and regions, facilitating communications and working sessions that clarify implementation scope, process and role changes, responsibilities, expected benefits, and regional considerations.
• Monitor adoption indicators and coordinate corrective actions, including system usage, process completion, training status, data quality, procedural compliance, and user feedback, escalating to the Global Implementation Lead.
• Support sustainable post-Go-Live ownership by coordinating the transition to regional and project-level business owners, defining support routes, process ownership, issue escalation, documentation maintenance, and continuous improvement arrangements. 2.7 Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as the day-to-day coordination point for project teams and regional stakeholders during active implementations, maintaining productive working relationships across regional operations, project teams, technical functions, and the global MPD programme.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement, partnering with Project Managers, Project Controls, PMO, field teams, operational leaders, Digital Delivery, IT, Regional SMEs, and technical specialists through workshops, governance reviews, training, and decision-making forums.
• Gather, assess, document, and prioritise business requirements and feedback, translating technical concepts into clear project delivery language and distinguishing essential requirements from process preferences, training gaps, platform issues, and unnecessary customisation.
• Communicate and govern implementation decisions, presenting status, risks, and recommendations clearly, escalating matters through the appropriate governance route to the Global Implementation Lead. 2.8 Data, Reporting & Digital Support
• Support the development and maintenance of implementation tracking dashboards and reporting outputs, including Power BI reports used by the global team and regional stakeholders.
• Assist with data management tasks related to the InEight platform, including data imports, exports, and validation in coordination with the Digital Coordinator & Information Manager.
• Contribute to the development of implementation templates, artefact checklists, and configuration guides for use across the programme. 2.9 Risk & Issue Management
• Identify and assess implementation risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies across regional, business-unit, and project levels, evaluating potential impacts on schedule, readiness, adoption, compliance, reporting, data quality, and Go-Live.
• Maintain accurate governance logs and mitigation plans, documenting risks, issues, actions, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, accountable owners, due dates, contingency measures, and escalation thresholds.
• Escalate risks and issues to the Global Implementation Lead, coordinating resolution and following up with accountable stakeholders through verified closure. Significant concerns are escalated by the GIL to the Global Technical Lead, Global Business Owner, Regional Business Owners, or appropriate governance forums.
• Analyse recurring issues and drive continuous improvement, identifying root causes across process, configuration, data, training, capacity, governance, and organisational readiness, incorporating lessons learned into standards, controls, templates, and training materials. 2.10 Regional SME Support & Capability Building
