Senior AI Solutions Engineer (Colombia)
Location:
Colombia (Hybrid) Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time (Strict & Non-Negotiable) We are looking for a Senior AI Solutions Engineer based in Colombia to drive enterprise AI adoption across our organization. This is a highly business-facing, consulting-heavy role. You will partner directly with cross-functional business leaders to translate complex operational challenges into scalable, production-grade AI applications. You will lead technical solution discovery, design enterprise agentic and RAG workflows, and guide engineering teams from initial Proof-of-Concept (PoC) through to full production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Consulting & Discovery: Partner with business leaders across Ecommerce, Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and Customer Experience. Facilitate workshops to translate ambiguous operational problems into concrete AI technical designs. Architecture & AI Delivery: Design, architect, and deploy enterprise AI solutions using Claude, LLMs, Agentic AI systems, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). End-to-End Ownership: Define solution architectures, technical roadmaps, and implementation plans, partnering directly with engineering teams to move initiatives from PoC to production. Executive Communication: Present AI solution architectures, technical choices, and business value clearly and succinctly to both engineering teams and non-technical executive stakeholders. CoE Standards & Governance: Establish reusable AI architecture patterns, prompt engineering standards, and governance best practices within our AI Center of Excellence (CoE). Key Requirements 1. Soft Skills & Stakeholder Management Concise, Executive-Level Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. Able to articulate complex technical architectures to non-technical stakeholders cleanly without verbosity or jargon. Consulting Mindset: Comfort operating independently in ambiguous environments, filling in requirement gaps proactively, and pushing back constructively with practical alternatives when solutions lack clarity. 2. Technical & AI Architecture GenAI & Solution Architecture: 4+ years designing and delivering enterprise AI/GenAI solutions, backed by 10+ years of software engineering experience, including scalable architecture, API integration, security, observability, and production deployment. Claude Experience (Mandatory): Proven hands-on experience designing, developing, and shipping production solutions using Claude and Claude APIs, including tool/function calling, structured outputs, prompt/context management, and enterprise integration patterns. Agentic AI & Multi-Agent Systems: Strong experience designing agentic and multi-agent architectures, including agent orchestration, supervisor/worker patterns, task decomposition, agent-to-agent communication, dynamic routing, shared/isolated state, memory management, human-in-the-loop workflows, retries, guardrails, and failure handling. AI Tooling & Frameworks: Deep hands-on experience with Python, RAG, Vector Databases, embeddings, semantic/hybrid search, prompt pipelines, and context engineering, using frameworks/protocols such as LangGraph, LangChain, and MCP. Agent Orchestration & Tool Integration: Experience building agents that securely interact with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, search/RAG services, and MCP tools, with stateful workflow execution, checkpointing, structured tool invocation, and authorization controls. AI Evaluation & Observability: Experience implementing LLM/agent evaluation, tracing, monitoring, hallucination/groundedness checks, token and latency optimization, cost monitoring, and agent/tool-call debugging for production AI systems. Core Stack Expertise: Working knowledge of at least one core technology stack—React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or .
NET—to enable rapid onboarding and integration with existing production systems. 3. Availability Strict PST Schedule: Full availability during core business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday–Friday). Preferred Qualifications / Pluses Ecommerce Domain
Experience:
Understanding of common e-commerce paradigms, systems, and data flows (cart/checkout flows, merchandising, payment gateways, ERP/OMS integrations). Enterprise AI CoE Background: Experience establishing operational AI patterns, AI-assisted tooling, or digital transformation initiatives in enterprise settings. Microsoft Ecosystem: Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure infrastructure, or enterprise integrations.
