The Role We're looking for a pragmatic, high-leverage Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help lead the technical evolution of our large-scale print-on-demand marketplace. Our core platform runs on PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL within an MVC framework, powering multi-channel sales, custom admin and vendor panels, complex checkout flows, and dozens of critical third-party integrations. This is not a routine maintenance role. You'll modernize a mature, high-traffic codebase, design and harden complex integrations, and set the standard for how our team builds — including how we use modern AI tooling (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Kiro) as a genuine force multiplier. We want a senior engineer who wields these tools expertly while keeping human architectural judgment, security, and code quality at the center of every decision. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bucaramanga. This requirement is not negotiable.

What You'll Do
Maintain & modernize — Drive the continuous evolution of a mature, high-traffic codebase, strengthening its architecture and performance while keeping 24/7 production stable. Build complex integrations — Design, build, and optimize checkout flows, webhooks, and asynchronous background sync across a broad ecosystem: Payments & tax: Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, Square, Afterpay, Avalara, Stripe Tax Fulfillment & shipping: Printful, ScalablePress, ShipStation, DHL, and more Marketplaces: inventory, catalog, and order sync across Shopify, eBay, and Amazon Marketing: Klaviyo, HubSpot, Facebook Business SDK, Google Shopping Establish AI-augmented standards — Define and maintain our AI development guidelines: managing project steering context, building automated guardrails (credential scanning, migration generation), and leveraging MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to streamline workflows. Lead & mentor — Set high standards through rigorous human code review, especially for payments, authentication, and sensitive data, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming and clear documentation. What We're Looking For Advanced PHP & MVC — Deep, production-tested experience with PHP and MVC frameworks. Database mastery — Advanced MySQL: query optimization, strategic indexing, N+1 prevention, and robust data modeling. Modern frontend expertise — Strong command of semantic HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with hands-on experience in at least one major framework such as React, Next.js, or Angular, plus asset optimization (lazy loading, minification, cache busting). Asynchronous architecture — Proven experience building webhook handlers, cron jobs, and background processes for large-scale data synchronization. AI-assisted engineering — Hands-on familiarity with tools like Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT, and interest in structured workflows (spec-driven development, agent hooks, versioned context files). A human-first mindset — A firm commitment to meticulous human review for any code touching financial transactions, routing, or authentication. Everyday fluency with version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD. Strong communication and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset. Bonus Points Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or print-on-demand. Production empathy — a calm, methodical approach to incident response in high-volume, live environments. Pragmatic refactoring instincts — the ability to take a large, complex helper, map its dependencies with modern tooling, and safely modularize it step by step. Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
