Senior Full-Stack Engineer (NodeJS + React)
Location: [Fully remote] Colombia

About the Role
As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (NodeJS + React), you’ll take end-to-end ownership of features—from concept through deployment—building and enhancing modern React single-page applications alongside NodeJS microservices and APIs. You’ll thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, balancing frontend and backend work (roughly 80/20) while contributing to technical design, automated testing, and occasional CI/CD setup.
Responsibilities
- Build complex, user-facing features and UIs using React and its ecosystem
- Design, develop, and maintain NodeJS microservices and backend services outside of monolithic frameworks
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure stability and quality
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an agile environment
- Contribute to technical design discussions for features, components, and services
- Own the development lifecycle, including occasional setup of CI/CD pipelines for new services
- Troubleshoot bottlenecks and bugs and implement effective, scalable fixes
- Other duties as assigned
About You
Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of professional software development experience (10+ preferred)
- Strong proficiency in React (SPA development and modern frontend patterns)
- Deep expertise in NodeJS backend development, including building and maintaining microservices
- Proven experience with REST API design and implementation
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including ORM usage and query fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and orchestration
- Strong automated testing mindset; experience writing robust unit/integration tests
- High ownership, autonomy, and strong communication/collaboration skills
- Nice to have: Proficiency with SQL, experience with Jest, exposure to Python or other backend languages
