The role of Developer Experience within Amadeus teams is pivotal in empowering software engineers to deliver high-quality software efficiently and effectively. A Software Engineer in this capacity focuses on building and optimizing tools and workflows that enhance productivity, streamline development processes, and foster collaboration across teams. As part of this initiative, you will improve towards more seamless and enjoyable development experience. This role requires a deep understanding of developer needs, the willingness to dive deep into technical topics, and a passion for creating solutions that drive innovation and efficiency within the engineering organization.

As Junior Software Development Engineer, you will shape developer experience for our teams. You will have the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of developer tooling, driving innovation in developer productivity.

You should be familiar with source control systems and be prepared to acquire deep knowledge of JavaScript development (React and ), client/server architecture and database fundamentals.

You will be part of our Digital Competency center for different airlines in Americas. You will deliver and implement our Amadeus services. We will continue implementing the Backstage Software Catalog and onboard teams in the Americas, while iteratively improving. This will not just connect a diverse set of teams to a discoverable Software Catalog but also pilot the product.

In this role, you will be working with mentors to iteratively implement, deploy and improve on our tools. This includes not just coding activities, but also devops tasks to deploy the product and communication skills when connecting to teams to identify their needs and discuss requirements.

• Receive and discuss the assignment from the Amadeus Mentor
• Document solution design
• Implement
• Working in a team environment
• Approach teams to onboard their repos
• Showcase Backstage Software catalog to other teams in the Americas
• Explain to other teams the benefits of participating in this pilot
• Work with:

o Microsoft Azure, ArgoCD, gitops

o Bitbucket/Git

o TypeScript, , React

o Jenkins

o CI/CD and automated testing

o Collaboration with cross functional teams to understand Developer Experience

• Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Familiar with Javascipt/Typescript
• Familiar with React
• Familiar with Nodejs for backend services
• Familiar with Git or Jenkins
• Ability to work well in teams
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong English communication skills
