Senior Python Developer

As a Senior Python Developer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that have a global impact across industries such as conservation, healthcare, and supply chain. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to translate complex problems into maintainable, reliable software. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, allowing you to influence design decisions, mentor team members, and ensure best practices in software engineering. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, cloud platforms, and data-intensive applications while contributing to projects that make a tangible difference in the world. Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Python applications and services (Version 3.8+).
• Build and deploy SaaS applications with major data storage engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, AlloyDB).
• Develop and maintain REST-based APIs, ensuring reliability and security across all layers of the application.
• Lead implementation of software solutions by guiding team members and providing technical mentorship.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to strategize and design effective solutions.
• Write and maintain unit tests, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage source code repositories.
• Analyze technical requirements, scope projects, and prioritize deliverables to meet project goals.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and apply innovative solutions to complex problems.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong experience designing and deploying scalable SaaS applications.
• Expertise with data storage engines and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure).
• Proficient in designing and implementing secure applications at all levels, from data storage to public interfaces.
• Experience with web and mobile development and building web service interfaces.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to write technical design documents and collaborate effectively.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated integrity, responsibility, and commitment to high-quality software delivery.
