About The Role
The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise, managerial capabilities, and strategic vision to drive the development and maintenance of our website product offering. This role involves overseeing a range of services, including custom website development, ongoing maintenance, web analytics, mobile optimization, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to support our clients' digital marketing efforts..

Responsabilities

• Work with the project manager and copy writer to build custom, fully responsive, high-performing WordPress sites using modern best practices.
• Oversee the output of junior web developers on the team.
• Manage project workflow, including handling prioritization issues, and communicating progress to the project team.
• Identify opportunities for increasing efficiency and effectiveness of web systems, and recommend and implement solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Maintain documented and up to date code repositories.
• Help develop the technical vision for the web development product.
• Document and provide support on web system configuration.
• Develop and maintain test plans and procedures for all web projects.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of the agency's web development standards and internal processes.

Required Technical Skills

• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and frameworks such as WordPress, Shopify,Squarespace and Wix.
• Proficiency with Elementor, and other WordPress page builders, including custom widget and shortcode development.
• Understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and server management.
• Expertise in SEO best practices.
• Implement and maintain custom integrations with marketing tools and third-party platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, CRM systems, anD booking or payment systems.
• Experience with WooCommerce setup and customization (payment gateways, checkout logic and webhooks).
• Knowledge of web security best practices and tools.
• Strong grasp of UI/UX principles and familiarity with tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
• In-depth understanding of WCAG accessibility user experience standards.
• Understanding of performance auditing tools (Lighthouse, GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights) and front-end optimization techniques.
• Lead website migrations, performance optimization, and hosting management, ensuring uptime, security, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain reusable code libraries, Elementor templates, and internal documentation to streamline development across multiple client websites.

• Ability to mentor and review code and projects from junior developers, providing constructive technical feedback.
• Comfortable liaising directly with clients or project managers to clarify requirements and timelines.
