A Day in the Life
The Contract Analyst is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, including administration, negotiation, extension, and termination of both standard and nonstandard agreements. This role involves preparing proposals, negotiating terms, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and maintaining effective communication with customers. The analyst reviews cost estimates, performance requirements, and delivery schedules for accuracy, and prepares bids and reports to advise management on contractual obligations.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
- Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepares bids, processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data and maintains historical information.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Four or more years of relevant experience in Contracts or Pricing
