The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role will support in preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, and assisting with audits and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, payroll, journal entries).
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, suppliers, customers, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support the preparation of tax filings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data.
- Collaborate with external auditors by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills in English (intermediate/advanced).
