About the role

The Senior Java Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance software solutions for our North American clients. This position will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment, ensuring that applications are highly concurrent, thread-safe, and optimized for Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader and self-driven expert in multi-threaded programming, proficient in modern development tools such as MS SQL Server and AI-assisted coding. A high level of proficiency in English is required, as the role involves daily interaction with U.S.-based stakeholders.

This position is 100% on-site at our offices in Bogotá, Medellín, or Buenos Aires.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, multi-threaded Java applications for North American clients.
  • Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving concurrency bottlenecks, race conditions, and deadlocks.
  • Work effectively within a Linux environment to deploy and manage services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using GIT for version control.
  • Integrate AI-driven tools like Copilot to optimize coding efficiency and quality.
  • Manage and optimize database interactions using MS SQL Server.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong emphasis on multi-threading and concurrent programming.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of the Java Memory Model, Executor services, and synchronization primitives.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, GIT, and modern AI coding assistants (Copilot).
  • Excellent English communication skills (ability to coordinate with U.S. stakeholders).
  • Proactive attitude: Responsible, agile, and quick to adjust to new technical challenges.

Nice if you have:

  • Experience in SaaS or IT Consulting.
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
