Your Mission
We are looking for a(n) Controlling Analyst to join our fast-growing Acconting team. Reporting to our LATAM Controller & Cash Manager, you will be supporting the team on support financial management, budgetary control, cash flow analysis, and the preparation of strategic reports that contribute to decision-making. The role must ensure the accuracy of financial data, optimize control processes, and collaborate in liquidity and financial risk management, aligning with best practices in the payments industry. Also disareable a strong focus and interest in process and reporting automation, preferably with applied knowledge of SQL, Python, and Power Automate.
Key Responsibilities
· Cash Flow Monitoring and Analysis: Regularly track and analyze cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs, supporting treasury functions and providing accurate forecasts for financial planning.
· Bank Reconciliation and Payment Processing: Oversee daily bank reconciliations and the processing of payments, ensuring all transactions are timely, accurate, and compliant with company policies.
· Support Treasury Operations: Assist in managing relationships with banking partners, optimizing cash allocation, and supporting treasury initiatives to minimize financial risk and maximize returns.
· Financial Data Accuracy and Reporting: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by preparing, reviewing, and validating accounting entries and reports for management and regulatory compliance. Coordinate and ensure the timely delivery of accounting and financial information from the accounting providers in the assigned countries.
· Budgetary Control and Variance Analysis: Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions to meet organizational financial goals.
· Internal Controls Implementation: Develop and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Process Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation within accounting and reporting processes, leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, and Power Automate to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, (required).
· English communication
· Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the fintech, payments, or financial services sector.
· Strong knowledge of Colombian accounting principles, IFRS, and relevant tax regulations
· Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
· Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, fast-paced team.
· Advanced command of Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
· Knowledge of payment processing systems and financial platforms.
· Ability to analyze production costs, profit margins, and prepare budgets.
· Strong capacity to interpret and analyze financial statements to provide valuable insights to management.
