As a Claims Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting and executing administrative processes related to claims management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution in accordance with our client's policies and industry regulations.

Some of your responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and maintain claims files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Maintain and update the claims tracking spreadsheet on Excel.
  • Review manifests and investigate missing freight or discrepancies.
  • Communicate with external terminals to request dock checks or missing paperwork.
  • Send claim acknowledgments and follow up as necessary.
  • Calculate costs from invoices and determine amendments based on customer pricing agreements.
  • Pro rate freight charges according to claim pieces and weight.
  • Draft declination letters and make claim decisions based on NMFC and Carmack Amendment regulations.
  • Schedule salvage pick-ups and coordinate related logistics.
  • Perform other administrative and operational duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Desirable Studies in Business Administration or an administrative-related field. Other studies are also considered.
  • Experience: Previous experience in claims, logistics, or administrative support is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette, Proficient in data entry, 10-key, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attendance and reliability.

Perks:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (We follow the American calendar).
  • Contract: Indefinite term contract.
  • Location: Available for Barranquilla and Medellín On site
  • Salary: 3,500,000 COP.
