Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Backend Software Engineer with expertise in Go (Golang) to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and resilient backend services on the AWS cloud. You will architect our serverless and container-based systems, mentor other engineers, and drive technical excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for clean code and building robust, cloud-native infrastructure.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 5+ years in backend software development, with a significant portion spent on cloud platforms.
At least 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with Go in a production environment.
Programming Languages:
Expert proficiency in Go (Golang) and its standard libraries.
- Hands-on experience with the Gin Gonic framework.
Professional experience with Python for scripting or secondary services.
AWS Cloud Platform
Deep, hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem.
- Compute: AWS Lambda, ECS.
- Storage & Databases: S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), ElastiCache (Redis), and Elasticsearch (OpenSearch).
- Networking & APIs: API Gateway, Route53, ALB/NLB.
Messaging: Asynchronous communication patterns using SNS and SQS.
Infrastructure & DevOps:
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with AWS CDK or SAM. Familiarity with Terraform is a plus.
- Proficiency with containerization using Docker.
Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and pipelines.
Architecture & System Design:
Proven experience designing and building scalable, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and documenting them using OpenAPI v3 (Swagger).
Job Responsibilities
- Cloud-Native Development: Architect, design, develop, and deploy robust backend services and event-driven functions using Go, AWS Lambda, and ECS.
- API Management: Build and maintain secure, scalable APIs using API Gateway, ensuring comprehensive documentation with OpenAPI (Swagger).
- System Architecture: Lead the design of asynchronous systems using SNS/SQS and contribute to the evolution of our microservices architecture on AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code: Define, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK or SAM.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly tested code. Champion best practices and mentor other engineers through code reviews and collaborative design sessions.
- Database Management: Model, manage, and optimize our data stores, including RDS (PostgreSQL), Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Operations & Monitoring: Take ownership of the services you build by implementing proper monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure high availability and reliability.
