Job Description - Python Developer (AI Agents)Company: FastStrat

Location: Remote (Colombia)

Type: Contract Position

Compensation: $600 USD/month

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8 hours) + Saturday (6 hours) - 46 hours/week

Role Overview:

FastStrat is seeking a Mid-Senior Python Developer to join our team in building cutting-edge AI agent solutions using CrewAI and Google Vertex AI. This role requires expertise in modern Python frameworks and AI orchestration systems.

Technical Requirements:

Core Technologies:

  • Python 3.11+ with 3+ years of professional experience
  • CrewAI Framework for multi-agent orchestration
  • Google Vertex AI for ML model deployment and management
  • FastAPI for building high-performance REST APIs
  • PostgreSQL for relational data and vector embeddings storage
  • Celery with Redis/RabbitMQ for distributed task processing

Required Skills:

  • Design and implement autonomous AI agents using CrewAI
  • Build scalable FastAPI applications with async/await patterns
  • PostgreSQL optimization including pgvector for similarity search
  • Celery task queue management and optimization
  • Integration with Google Cloud Platform services and aws
  • RESTful API design and documentation
  • Git version control and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks
  • Docker and Kubernetes knowledge
  • Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate)
  • Prompt engineering experience
  • Spanish/English bilingual

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain AI agent workflows using CrewAI
  • Design FastAPI endpoints for agent interaction
  • Implement efficient data pipelines with PostgreSQL
  • Manage asynchronous task processing with Celery
  • Integrate Vertex AI models into production systems
  • Write clean, documented, and testable code
  • Participate in code reviews and technical planning

Work Conditions:

  • Schedule: Fixed hours - Monday to Friday (8 hours) + Saturday (6 hours)
  • Time Zone: Colombia (GMT-5)
  • Contract Type: Independent contractor (no benefits)
  • Duration: Ongoing with monthly contracts

Requirements:

  • 3+ years Python development experience
  • Proven experience with AI/ML applications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated for remote work
  • Available for 46 hours per week
  • Located in Colombia
