Senior Python Developer

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable Python-based applications that have a direct impact across industries such as conservation, healthcare, and supply chain management. You will collaborate with multiple development teams and external partners to solve complex technical challenges, delivering reliable and maintainable software solutions. The role offers the opportunity to lead development initiatives, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to global projects with measurable impact. Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Python applications and web services across multiple industries.

• Lead the development of REST-based APIs and scalable SaaS solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver complex software solutions.

• Ensure software reliability, maintainability, and security, applying best practices in testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.

• Mentor junior developers and promote agile development practices.

• Analyze technical requirements, scope solutions, and prioritize deliverables effectively.

• Contribute to architectural discussions, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.

• 4+ years of experience developing Python applications (version 3.8+).

• Strong expertise in building and deploying SaaS applications at scale using Python with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/AlloyDB, MySQL, Redis, etc.).

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and web service interfaces.

• Proficiency in application security across all levels of software systems.

• Experience delivering solutions on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to prioritize program deliverables.

• Excellent communication skills, technical leadership, and collaborative teamwork experience.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Agile development experience and familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and version control systems.
