Video Editor: Paid Social

Lilo Social is a growth marketing agency focused on full-funnel marketing, delivering best-in-class paid media and creative services for a wide range of high-growth eCommerce and DTC brands. We cover content creation, ad production, paid media, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and email/SMS marketing.

We are looking for a high-volume, performance-driven Video Editor to specialize in creating engaging, conversion-focused video content for our clients' paid social ad campaigns.

The main focus of this role is to be a strategic Video Editor, designing, executing, and iterating on high-performing video creatives specifically for paid social media advertising across major platforms.

You'll execute on storyboards developed with creative strategists, while also driving the art direction and applying the latest Direct-Response (DR) video best practices from across the web and social. You will bring a range of skills to the team, including video ideation, editing, design, motion graphics, and ad design. The ultimate goal of the role is to design high-quality digital assets in a fast-paced environment to directly impact and improve client Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) goals.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a portfolio featuring multiple examples of performance video editing and motion graphics projects used in paid marketing campaigns across social and web placements.

You must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the latest digital trends in social commerce and DTC ad creative, including best practices for formats like IG Reels and TikTok.

• 3+ years in performance-focused video editing, social media ad production, and motion graphics creation.
• Experience producing high-volume, conversion-focused video content for Facebook/Meta Ads, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• A dynamic portfolio showcasing strengths in direct-response (DR) video editing and motion graphics.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects (or similar NLE/VFX software).
• Exceptional creative and art direction skills for short-form, attention-grabbing content.
• Work collaboratively with the ability to be a thought partner in developing effective ad creative concepts.
• Incredibly detail-oriented (spelling, grammar, mistakes. etc).
• Open and receptive to creative direction and design feedback.
• Understanding of leading social ad platforms and their creative specifications.
• Experience working with eCommerce and DTC brands is a must.

• Research and understand overall client initiatives/data to accurately convey them through engaging video, motion, and animated social ads.
• Work with creative briefs to edit and animate direct-response social ads for performance advertising using rapid-fire editing and compelling storytelling to produce the best possible videos.
• Present ideas and creative recommendations to develop new ad concepts and creative briefs.
• Work on multiple clients' ad creative iterations each week to build out extensive creative libraries across all major placements (IG, IG Stories, IG Reels, FB, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok).
• Maintain a deep understanding of the digital content atmosphere, meaning content must be fast, smart, and attention-grabbing at all times to drive clicks and conversions.
• Have a track record of working with hours of raw footage and editing it into high-impact, under-15-second videos.
• Bringing static designs to life with animating motion GFX to improve storytelling across all client brands.
• Animate cinemagraphs, GIFs, and other motion formats.
• Pull and optimize stills from videos for ad thumbnails.
