IT Technical Writer
, you will translate complex technical processes into clear, user-friendly documentation. You'll support IT initiatives by creating manuals, policies, and guides, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards.

Shift: Day Shift, 8am-5pm Colombian time, Weekends Off

The Qualifications We Seek

• 5 years equivalent work experience
• Advanced
  experience evaluating business processes and working in IT
• Hands-on technical writing and editing experience,
  with expertise documenting IT software and systems
• Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of document formatting and presentation techniques
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, rapport-building, listening, and interviewing skills
• Ability to create and distribute timely meeting notes
• Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues
• Ability to quickly absorb and retain complex technical information
• Ability to analyze target audiences and present user-friendly explanations
• Strong understanding of organizational goals and ability to multitask across teams
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable asking questions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments
• Strong customer service orientation
• Team-oriented; experience working in an agile, collaborative environment

Your Daily Tasks

Strategy and Planning

• Liaise with department heads and end users to define and identify business procedures
• Establish documentation needs for hardware/software and present ideas in user-friendly language
• Analyze IT project requirements to determine required document types
• Collaborate with staff to collect and interpret technical information; conduct research as needed
• Ensure documents are high quality, branded, and user-focused
• Research and recommend new documentation methods to improve processes

Operational Management

• Plan, design, research, write, and edit user guides, manuals, technical specs, training materials, policies, and proposals
• Edit documentation to maintain unified standards
• Validate data updates, identify deficiencies, and report findings
• Establish and maintain documentation standards
• Maintain the IT library
• Support audit responses with appropriate materials
