Job Title
Senior Manager, EngineeringOur obsession is to improve the traveller experience and Altéa Customer Management product plays a major role in this experience given that it is the leading software solution enabling airlines to manage the departure steps of the travellers' journeys (from the check-in, to baggage handling, seating, ancillaries payment, regulatory checks etc, and up to the boarding).
As Senior Manager for the group Product Development & technical evolution for Customer Management, part of the Airport and Airline Operations Business Unit, you will be responsible for 50+ Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Quality Analysts based in London.
You will be part of the Passenger Servicing eco system with teams all over the world and for which the delivery is managed by dedicated trains following the SAFe Agile methodology. The Passenger Servicing train for Europe and Americas includes teams from London, Dallas and Bogota, and shares a common backlog with the Passenger Servicing Asia / Pacific train (Bangalore, Sydney).
Finally, you will be working on one of the most critical applications in Amadeus - Stability while maintaining high pace of deliveries is a must.

Assist the Train Product Manager, Release Train Engineer and System Architect, in their duties to Ensure successful delivery (on time and with built-in quality) and leverage customer feedbackEnsure predictability of the train, availability and transparency of the train's SAFe artifacts
Build a vision and foster innovation Work with Product and Solution Management, as well as top management and other stakeholders to translate organisational strategy into effective performanceEncourage collaboration between teams and Product Management, System and Solution Architects
About the ideal candidate
Strong experience in leading software engineering teams of 10+ people
Solid understanding of Lean Agile practices with awareness of major frameworks (SAFe ideally) with ability to lead collaborative agile ways of working and effectively manage changing priorities
Experience in communicating to senior leadership team with a view to collaborative decision making
Proven track record on delivery of complex technology enablers and programs that cross multiple domains/teams
Experience in the Travel IT industry is a plus
Business Understanding
An understanding of what it takes to design, build and operate a large scale, complex system that must operate flawlessly 24x7, 365 days per year.
Awareness of the Airline industry, the Airport ecosystem, the Amadeus Operations structure, and the standard Amadeus processes.
